In a stunning turn of events, a suburban wife has miraculously discovered the recycling bin. Once considered a mythical and legendary receptacle, and even scoffed at by scholars alike when mentioned by the menfolk…it turns out this magical piece of state of the art kitchen equipment does indeed exist! For years, cans and bottles (and even cardboard boxes from the blue beast known as prime) have been piled up on countertops or on the floor next to a doorway with no apparent destinations.
Archaeologists have been baffled by the construction of these mounds and have pondered at great length their purpose. Were they for performing religious ceremonies? A tribute to the gods? Maybe a sundial that could accurately predict the summer and winter solstices? Perhaps a precursor to some ritual love making ceremony or fertility totem? Well, that’s a mute point now!
The breakthrough was made recently when a daring and bold wife lifted the lid to an often overlooked blue can that had a strange ancient symbol of a triangle constructed with three clever arrows, and then dropped in an empty soda can. It was soon followed by empty beer cans, milk containers and even the occasional yogurt container. Impressed and amazed at her discovery, the wife went immediately to social media to share her enlightenment. Of course the incident went viral, making kitchen counters and floors clean across America once again! News has also begun to spread across the globe as a European husband was astounded to discover his kitchen did indeed have counter space!
The world may never be the same.
